Sign for visitor centre at the hydropower plant in Lyon

The biggest French energy producer EDF is opening several of its production units to the public. A visitor centre where people can learn more about the history and functioning of the plant was built for the hydropower plant on the Rhone near Lyon. It was the client’s express wish to open their sites to everyone, including people with visual impairment. Wallrus designed, developed, produced and installed all the signage for the project. The information signs were given 3D plans and the texts were applied in braille. A floorplan of the site was incorporated into the self-supporting structure.
